My absentee ballot came in the mail a few days ago. It’s the first election I can take part in, since I missed the 2004 one by about three months. I don’t think absentee ballots necessarily count, since they can be handed in days later, but it’ll still be exciting to vote.

Yay! for getting your ballot. And absentee voting definitely counts. Just think if all the snowbirds, college students, and people who are otherwise away from home for an extended period didn’t vote. It could entirely change the outcome.
